“All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness.” ― Eckhart Tolle
What situations and reactions can disrupt the stillness we want for creative work and health?
In Oprah and Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth Online Class several years ago, Debby from the Netherlands called in to ask:
“I always considered myself a sensitive person, and that means I’m easily overwhelmed by day-to-day life things that might be considered small.
“Is high sensitivity just a narrow egoic state? And do you have some tools that might help me to stop feeling so overwhelmed by all these small things?”
Highly sensitive people can be more vulnerable to emotional reactions
Eckhart Tolle responds, and talks about three levels of a situation that can cause highly sensitive people to experience emotionally challenging reactions, and gaining awareness of our inner reactions as highly sensitive people, to be less disrupted by them.
